Position 1: Senior Systems Programmer/Engineer (UNIX internals)

This is a permanent, full-time position for an experienced software professional.



Position 2: OEM Sales Representative


You will be responsible for managing the selling of the Microport FieldSight product line for the UNIX markets through the OEM sales channels. OEM account management responsibilities include understanding customer product requirements and conveying that information back to Microport (and the OEM) with purpose of further enhancing our combined products based upon customer feedback.

Summary of Regular Activities

Identify and qualify new accounts. Analyze current configuration and system needs and identify remote monitoring needs for customers. Participate in executive briefings. Ensure customer satisfaction by providing follow-through on customer concerns and requests. Develop and facilitate executive and end-user presentations. Provide regular and timely account reviews with customers and management. Participate in contract negotiations and application solutions. Close business sufficient to meet pre-established quotas.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify new accounts
  • Sell OEM software technology to complex, multi-layered accounts
  • Generate forecasts and manage sales to achieve/exceed revenue objective
  • Manage complex projects to identify new opportunities and drive revenue
  • Conduct business analysis in order to position solution selling with the major account
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required



Requires strong background in selling technical solutions to complex, multi-layered accounts. A technical understanding of UNIX is required. An energetic, self-motivated individual with a proven track record of closing OEM sales to large manufacturers is the ideal candidate.


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Prior Work Experience

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Experience with UNIX and OEM accounts.

Specialized Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience with high-tech products: telecommunications, medical monitoring, point of sale, government, and transportation industries

Approximate percentage of required travel time: 20-30%
